Meet some Guarantors and their beneficiaries

Dr. S.S. Thakur is the Managing Trustee of the Research, Education & Development (REaD) Foundation. The Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to promotion of research, education and social development in India. It is working closely with other NGOs and educational institutions in India and abroad to accomplish its objectives.

Mrs. and Mr. Brahmadeo Raut hail from Jharkhand. Mr. Raut is in property management & housekeeping business and supervises activities at 2 guesthouses. He earns a monthly income of Rs. 15,000. Mrs. Gayatri Raut completed her graduation from Bangalore with distinction and is currently employed with a BPO. She earns Rs. 9,000 per month. Mrs. and Mr. Raut have decided to buy a 1 BHK apartment at the “Vaibhava” project of Value & Budget Housing Corporation (VBHC). They will avail a loan of Rs 7 lakhs for a property priced at Rs. 8.5 lakhs.

Dr. Thakur has known Mrs. and Mr. Raut for several years and is very pleased with their voluntary work for the REaD Foundation. The Foundation will guarantee their housing loan and will also support them with some part of the down payment for the same.

The guarantee provided by the REaD Foundation enables Home First to sanction a housing loan for Mrs. and Mr. Raut and their dream of owning a home is becoming a reality.

Dr. D.V.R.Seshadri provides guarantee for Mr. Ushan Naika and Mrs. Lakshmi Bayi :

Dr. D.V.R. Seshadri is adjunct faculty of Marketing at the Indian Institute of Management – Bangalore. He has a B. Tech. (Mechanical Engg.) from IIT, Madras; M.S (Engineering Sciences) from University of California, San Diego; and has a Fellow Title (Doctorate) from IIM, Ahmedabad, with specialization in Production and Quantitative Methods.

Dr. Seshadri is an accomplished technocrat with more than 15 years of hands-on industry experience in senior positions in varied fields such as petroleum refining, pharmaceuticals, electronics and software development.

Mrs. and Mr. Ushan Naika are natives of Chitradurga (Karnataka). They have a combined income of Rs 15,000 per month. The have booked a 1 BHK flat at the “Vaibhava” project of VBHC at Bangalore. The flat is priced at Rs. 8.82 lakhs for which they will avail a loan of Rs. 7.5 lakhs. They are comfortable paying a monthly EMI of Rs. 8132 for their dream home!

Dr. Seshadri is acquainted with them for over 2 years and they have been working with him as housekeepers. He finds them extremely reliable and is keen to assist them in owning a home. Dr. Seshadri has agreed to become a guarantor to the above loan and is also assisting Mr. Naika with the initial down payment. The additional security of Dr. Seshadri's guarantee, enables Home First to sanction a housing loan to Mrs. and Mr. Naika, which would have been otherwise unfeasible.
